Rapunzal the Gray Wolf and Friends

Down in the water, in the Great lakes of Michigan, there lived a Silver Lamprey - his name was Ralph. Ralph had a best friend named Gar; he was a Longnose Gar. Ralph hadn’t eaten in days and his hunger was excruciating. It was so painful that he started picturing himself attaching to Gar and sucking the nutrients out of him. Being a parasite this was possible for Ralph to do.

“Hey Gar,” said Ralph. “May I take your nutrients in the slight chance you might die?”

"What, no way Ralph!” exclaimed Gar as he swam away. Before Gar could swim out of Ralph’s reach, Ralph attached to his back fin. As Ralph was pulling Gar in, a random gray wolf’s mouth appeared out of nowhere, and snatched up Gar.

“Yum!” yelled Rupunzal the wolf as she gobbled up Gar.

“Hey!” shouted Ralph. “You have just stolen my dinner! I’m gonna die now!”

“That’s not my problem you disgusting vermin!” retorted Rapunzal, walking away.

As Rapunzal was wandering away to find a place to stay for the night, she saw her friend Jim Jim. He was by a Ginkgo tree.

“What are you doing Jim Jim?” questioned Rapunzal.

“Oh, well being Bacillus subtilis, I eat sugars released by plant roots. While I get food, Marvin, the Ginkgo tree, gets stronger.”

“Wow! That’s super cool!” said Rapunzal.

“Yes! That is super super cool!” Marvin said in his deep monotone voice.

“With Jim Jim’s support given to Marvin, now I can have a nest here,” squeaked Robin the Blue Jay. “Now that Marvin’s stronger, my little chicky’s can hatch safely without Marvin toppling over.”

Rapunzal was starting to get extremely sleepy, so she said her goodbyes. Later, as Rapunzal was walking toward a cave that she found, she thought about all the things she saw today. She saw a parasite attack a fish until she gobbled it up. She also saw Jim Jim helping a tree while the tree helped him back. The last thing she saw was Robin being assisted by Marvin so her chick’s could be born.
